Royal Family KIDS Secunda

Royal Family KIDS Secunda is proud to partner with Royal Family KIDS, Inc to hold a one-week overnight camp designed to meet the unique and overwhelming needs of children who have been through the nightmares of abuse and neglect. Royal Family KIDS Secunda is a non profit organisation that was launched in August 2016 and is running camps for children from the Secunda and surrounding areas. Royal Family KIDS Secunda has already completed 3 camps and is planning their next camp for 2023. Once the camps have been established Royal Family KIDS Secunda will start with regular club meetings and a mentorship program for the children.

Children age 9-12 who have a history of being abused or neglected and reside in foster care are eligible to attend. The week of camp is free of charge to the children and is made available through the generous donations of individuals and businesses. No one at camp is paid. This means that 100% of all donations go directly to creating positive memories through a life-changing experience. Royal Family KIDS Secunda raises funds and enlists volunteers to serve these children who are in the social welfare system. You can join us in making this week possible through volunteering, serving and giving to provide scholarships for the children we serve!

Jackson's Ridge Children's Ministry Training Centre

Royal Family Kids Secunda runs under the leadership of Jackson’s Ridge Children’s Ministry Training Centre, who serves as the continental office for Royal Family Kids South Africa and Africa. They serve as a local training facility for all those who wish to get involved and be trained as counsellors, directors or general volunteers. The aim is to accommodate more campers, conduct more training and ensure continuous development of future leaders who will ultimately broaden the reach of the Royal Family Kids vision. Training for the volunteers, counsellors and staff is an integral aspect of the preparation for camp. This is to ascertain that all volunteers who attend camp are fully equipped and accustomed to the camp policies and rules, as well as the national legislation with regards to social work and working with children.
